Climate change vis-a-vis Comity of Nations

Abstract

In view of the report prepared for the World Bank by the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), Tempo Analytics and Laboratoire d’Etudes en Geophysique et Oceanographie Spatials, the World Bank in November 2012 warned that the earth will be warmer by 4° Celsius this century causing grave consequences for humanity. Satellite measurements show that sea levels are actually rising at an alarming rate of 3.2 mm a year compared to the estimate of 2mm a year in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Fourth Assessment Report (AR4) ie 60% faster researchers said. We are fully aware of the consequences if it is so. So the world must tackle the problem of climate change more aggressively to make the world habitable for our children and grand children at least as of today. So greater adaptation and mitigation efforts are to be undertaken without wasting any more time.
