Technical and vocational education and training (TVET) imparts knowledge and skill to the individual. The application of skill and knowledge for practical purposes is useful in society creating commercial value. Bright students may extend their technical and vocational knowledge up to the level of Engineering college or IIT like institute. Environmental uncertainty influences the changes in the business cycle creating economic uncertainty. The economy is contracting. People become increasingly anxious about job security. Technological changes make an employee's skill and experience obsolete in a very short time. A clear guidance is required amongst the economic, social, technological culture and family factors of the students' attitude, expectations and choice of Technical and vocational education and finally the identification of career. Economic survey, national sample survey office data indicates that TVET is important for improvement and development of a nation. Emphasis is to be given to eradicate the problem of unemployment at present.
