Abstract

As per UNO forecast 10 milliard people will live on earth by the middle of the century. In 1985, there lived 5 milliard human being on earth. In 2050 there will be twice the number of mouths so much more population to be fed. Every year 10 million hectare farmland is likely to be lost due to degradation mainly through erroneous cultivation method and erosion. Therefore, it is an urgent necessity to stop degradation and recultivate the land by adopting effective measures globally/internationally/nationally. We have 1.4 milliard hectare farmland on earth. The researchers of the University of Hohenheim, Germany work on the solution globally. It is desirable that internationally coordinated research should be carried out to face the challenge posing almost each and every country of the world specially Africa and Asia. UNO should emphasize on the very useful research on global set up.
