A Green economy is a economy or a an economic development model that is based on the concept of sustainable development, within the knowledge and ambit of ecological economics. UNEP (2010)’ defines Green Economy as the “One that results in improved human well being and social equity while significantly reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities.†In common parlance, a green economy is one where growth in income and employment is driven by targeted Govt, and private investments that reduces carbon emissions, pollutions, enhances energy and resource efficiencies side by side with prevention of loss of bio-diversity and ecological services.
