Abstract

Europe gets a unique civil system of earth’s observation from outer space with Copernicus. Relay satellites in 36000 Km height should make the pictures of the flow flying “sky eyes†with the help of a laser connection almost at right time visible in earth. When a ship somewhere on the ocean broadcasts SOS. the earth can hear it immediately. With the help of so-called E pirb - Bojen (Emergency Position-indicating Radio Beacon) the energy call is transmitted via satellite or to the international rescue radio station with at any loss of time. Nevertheless the satellite pictures from the most damaged objects could reach the savior first at present when the ship is sunk long ago.
