Abstract

There is no denying the fact that the global warming is mostly caused by human activity. It has been predicted that unlimited pollution of the atmosphere caused by the emission of dangerous CO2 and other greenhouse gases will create unprecedented hazard on our planet endangering the human, animal and plant lives and ecosystem as a whole. National and international bodies have already realised the danger of this phenomenon and are trying to adopt possible measures to reduce greenhouse gas emission in order to save our planet from destruction. In this article an attempt has been made to highlight the causes of global warming, its horrible consequences worldwide and the possible measures for mitigating the same adopted by national and international bodies.
