ULTRASONIC TESTING Vital Role in Process Industry

Abstract

Ultrasonic testing devices are used for Non Destructive Testing of process equipment material, characterization , and evaluation measurem ent of elastic constant/Poisson ratio. The application of ultrasonic method of testing of material is of special interest as they may replace ra diography for testing of weldment which is non -dangerous and of low cost. It is a very pow erful tool for determ ining quality control of mechanical equipm ent, w.r.t. low processin g cost, covering all safety rules during testing .
