BIOCHEMISTRY OF INFLAMMATION IN ASTHMA AN OVERVIEW
Jump To References Section
Abstract
Inflammation is a characteristic feature in asthma that involves a wide variety of cells and the release of many chemical mediators that have multiple effects on various target cells in the respiratory tract. There has been a growing consensus that chronic rather acute inflammatory events are more relevant to understanding the underlying mechanism in asthma. Despite there being great advances in unravelling the biochmical events invloved in aetiology of asthma, the biochemistry of asthmatic inflammation has remained an enigma and eluded the scientific communityDownloads
