Abstract

Molecular biology at present is one of the most prestigious and active areas of scientific research and has emerged as a new discipline in itself It is gradually expanding to many frontier disciplines from embryology to neurobiology and immunolgy. What then is molecular biology, how is it developed to the present shape and state ? Is it the science of physics and chemistry applied to the biological molecules or is it the science to bring biological phenomena and problems down to their atomic and molecular level ?
