Abstract
Stevia or honey herb has been used as a natural sweetener for centuries in South America, especially by the Guarani Indians of Paraguay. Of late it is being used as an alternative for sugar in many countries. The sweet diterpenoid glycosides of stevia leaves have been used to treat a gamut of problems from diabetes to dental decay as the leaves are endowed with significant medicinal properties.Downloads
