Open Access: New Genre of Information for Knowledge Discovery

Abstract

The emergency of in Internet, particularly , the World Wide Web (www) as a new media of information delivery trigged proliferation of the web. The web resources and the use of web as a tool is based f ull text online resources changing the way of users live and learn. Web resources have exploded in popularity and use and have led to innovation in learning, teaching. Availability of web resources have changed our daily lif e. th is article describes various types of em inent open-access resources available in academic institutions, it briefly touches  their advantages and usage in libraries. How can us the librarian save our budget without expense. Open Access movement is gaining momentum around the world and India is also actively participating in this movement.
