Role of Librarians in Support of Health Care Research: An Overview

Abstract

Librarians play a vital role in the health care research in collaborating with healthcare professionals. They are the pillars of support in retrieval of information, access and dissem in ate them at right time as and when required by the researchers. They provide traditional services as well as other supportive e-services to the health care professionals. They play various roles in support of research of the parent institution and while doing so face many challenges to fulfill the needs of the researchers. In the mean time they are benefited for their professional development and also well-recognized by the patrons of the library . At the end of the day librarians feel fully content when their selfless services are recognized by the health science fraternity
