Now a days Open source digital library packages especially software’ s like Dspace & Greenstone are gaining popularity among Institutional depositors. Through this article on Dspace I have tried to find out what are the developments, and the challenges that have been faced in implementing and how it works and helps in bring all the e-materials together in presenting them in one platform . Looking at the economic conditions of the Institutions and library , open source software is preferable.
