Abstract

The study shows how the published articles of an organization can be the guiding parameter for selection of one journal package from two or more packages. The subject fields of the published papers of the organization and the package journals can be analyzed and a selection of a single package can be made based on the subject fields of which package comes close to the publishing nature of the parent organization. The present case has analyzed the publications of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mum bai, India during 2011- 2015 and compared with journal articles published by BARC in American Chemical Society (ACS), USA and Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), UK packages. The ranks based on the subjects in which BARC published are correlated with ranks of ACS and RSC in these subjects. The ranks correlations are found as 0.91 and 0.95 respectively . Obviously , RSC package has higher correlation with BA RC and it can be one of the parameter for selecting th e package f rom either of these two
