Vitamin 'A' Deficiency and Blindness Prevention

Abstract

The nature of xerophthalmia and programmes designed to eradicate it are the subjects of the first report to be published by the two year-old blindness prevention programme of the American Foundation for Overseas Blind (AFOB). The report entitled "Vitamin A Deficiency and Blindness Prevention", edited by Vivian Beyda, AFOB blindness prevention specialist, has emerged from two Symposia jointly sponsored by the Nutrition Foundation and the AFOB.
