Abstract
Obesity is that state in which the accumulation of reserve fat becomes so extreme that the functions of the organism are interfered with. Over-weight is designated as body weight in excess of a standard. Such standards are usually an average weight or desirable weight in a population. They do not indicate whether the excess weight is due to fat, bone, muscle, fluid, or the relative contributions of these substances. On the other hand, obesity refers to the condition of "fatness" or an excessive amount of adipose tissue. Medical science, over the last fifty years has been fully aware of the hazards of obesity to health.Downloads
