Abstract

In the form of this book, UNICEF has published three contributes: Medicine, Health and Human Development, Nineth Jawabarlal Nehru Memorial Lecture delivered by Professor V. Ramalingaswamy in Part I, excerpts from a joint UNICEF/WHO study in Part II and a report by the Executive Director of UNICEF in Part III. All these topics have a common concern namely, the basic health needs and services in the developing countries.
