Malnutrition and Immune Response
Jump To References Section
Abstract
Malnutrition and infection are known to be closely linked, one promoting the other. The immune system which is responsible for the defence against infection forms an important link between the two. Inadequate nutrition can alter the immunocompetence and thus increase susceptibility to infection. Infection, in turn, can lead to malnutrition.Downloads
