Abstract

This book contains the proceedings of the multidisciplinary satellite symposium of the XXVI International Congress of Physiological Sciences. The presentations include : 1) general principles of neural communication, 2) neural organisation for survival, 3) programming of motor apparatus and 4) brain mechanisms underlying plasticity of behaviour. The contributors are well known in the respective areas of research.
