Abstract

This monograph on vitamin D by H.F. Deluca has brought forth the salient features of vitamin D metabolic system as it is currently understood, starting with the historical aspects of vitamin D, its precursors, metabolism and its regulation and the functions are discussed at great length with pertinent and illustrative figures.
