Jump To References Section
Abstract
Hypercholesterolemia is a disorder of lipoprotein metabolism characterized by high serum concentration of Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol. There are two strategies for prevention viz.. primary prevention and secondary prevention. Primary prevention involves clinical management including diet, exercise and other lifestyle changes that will lower the risk of Cardio Vascular Diseases (CVD)in patients who have no evidence of CVD but who have risk factors. Secondary prevention is the treatment of hypercholesterolemia in patients who already have CVD.Downloads
