Dietary and Consumption Pattern of Rural Household in Raipur District

Abstract
Nutrition plays an important role in human life. Adequate and nutritious food is necessary for good, physical and mental health. Health and nutrition are important contributors in human resource development. About 40 per cent rural and 30 per cent urban populations in India are below poverty line. The average expected food consumption is 2400 kcal per capita per day in rural areas and 2100 kcal per capita per day in urban area. The present study has been undertaken to examine the consumption pattern and variations in calorie intake by rural households.Downloads
