Abstract

The unrelenting problem of micronutrient malnutrition has steered the nutritional policies for a long term sustainable approach aiming to increase the consumption of micronutrient rich foods through horticulture, social forestry and nutrition education. The diverse agroclimatic conditions have blessed India with a vast resource of greeneries, many of which are still under exploited.
