Abstract
The anthropometric profile and the growth status of children belonging to urban slums has been reported to be poor in the states surveyed by the NNMB. In a recent study reported by Gnanasundram and Santhanakrishnan in the urban slums in Madras, the incidence of Bitot's spots was found to be 2.8 percent and 4.15 percent infants were found to suffer from severe malnutrition.Downloads
