Abstract

Pediatrics is an independent discipline and has received greater emphasis and drawn the attention of the scientists, researchers and social scientists as specially significant and the most relevant branch of study in the context of the developing countries. Studies on adolescents have become correspondingly less over the years except by those by anthropologists, biologists and nutritionists who still realise the importance of such studies.
