Jump To References Section
Abstract
Lipids are widely known today for it provides a large quantity of energy (9 Kcal/g). Recently we observed a considerable increase in consumption of fatty materials in industrialised countries. Thirtyfive to forty percent of human energy need is got from fat. Unfortunately excesses in human results in cardiovascular disorders which needs to be taken more seriously because of the absence of well known treatment. Experience from animal studies have shown that foods rich fats favour the development of pancreatic and colon cancer. Cardiovascular diseases had for a long time been a plague in western countries. Thus statistics shown by INSERM report that they are responsible for 36 percent of deaths per year, making the primary cause of mortality and morbidity in France.Downloads
