Human Resource Development in Welding

Abstract

With the advancement of technological breakthroughs/ achievements in various industries like Defence, Steel & Power, Petroleum, Chemical etc. the need for perfect weldment is also increasing. Any perfect weldments require optimum welding skills, for which we require properly trained welding operators. Human Resource Development plays a pivotal role in this process of development of welding operators in any industry. A comprehensive and time bound programme is a must for any Human Resource Development related programme to be successful.

This paper gives an overview of the task of “Human Resource Development in Weldingâ€, with special reference to "Visakhapatnam Steel Plantâ€. It is recommended that any industry whether in public sector or private sector would be immensely benefited by such a planned Human Resource Development approach in any field.
