Abstract

I consider it a great privilege to be in the midst of ttiis august gattiering of welding professionals and deliver the Keith Hartley f\/lemorial Lecture. I would like to cherish this privilege as an honour to all the employees of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Tiruchirappalli, especially to those specialising in welding. This is also the occasion to gratefully remember the efforts of late Mr. Keith Hartley in the promotion of welding in the country at the industrial and professional levels.
