Nutritional Status of Tribal Preschool Children of Andhra Pradesh
Jump To References Section
Abstract
Tribal groups form an important segment of the Indian population, and the socio-economic status and cultural pattern of these tribes are known to vary considerably. While there is considerable data regarding the food habits and nutritional status of several urban and rural communities in our country such information on tribal population is scanty. This information is necessary in the formulation of programmes aimed at nutritional upliftment of these groups. In this communication, data relating to the nutritional status of preschool children belonging to some of the major tribal groups of Andhra Pradesh are presented.Downloads
