Abstract
This interesting and comprehensive work by Alan Berg has emerged from a study sponsored by the Foundation for Child Development and the Brookings Institution. It emphasises the need to recognize that chronic poverty is an impediment to national development. With a rare clarity of understanding of the effects of malnutrition, the author puts forth a systematic practical approach to programme development and further research in an area, still unexplored.Downloads
