Jump To References Section
Abstract
The deficiency of major and micro elements results in loss of health and economic efficiency of livestock. Wasting diseases of animals have been attributed by Stiles to the deficiency of micronutrients in the soil and consequently in the fodder. Nutritional survey carried out in different parts of India has also revealed pathological symptoms existing in livestock due to deficiency of minerals in commonly fed rations. Since the haemoglobin content of the blood serves as a good index of the health status of the animals, the present study was initiated.Downloads
