Abstract

The expectant women constitute a vulnerable group because of their extra nutritional needs, Belavady. The dietary needs of expectant women have not been given due attention in our communities, Balasubramanian. The nation-wide Applied Nutrition Programme (ANP) attempts to improve the nutritional status of the vulnerable groups.
