Protective Action of Certain Vitamins against Experimental Osteolathyrism in Albino Rats
Jump To References Section
Abstract
The information with respect to the influence of vitamins on the lathyrogenic changes is meagre. In animals fed on L. Odoratus or treated with B-amino-propionitrite (B A P N), aminoacetonitrile (AAN) or semicarbazide, simultaneous administration of riboflavin, pyridoxine, vitamin B12, choline, ascorbic acid, calciferol or vitamin E has been shown not to inhibit the skeletal manifestations of lathyrism while ascorbic acid has an additive influence on BAPN toxicity.Downloads
