Abstract

Previous studies have shown that in rats fed large doses of vitamin A, activities of PEP-carboxykinase, fructose-1 -6-diphosphatase, glucose - 6 - phosphatase and L-aIanine-2-oxoglutarate aminotransferase were increased in the liver. Beaver et al have found that rats exhibited severe hepatic and adrenal lesions on vitamin A deficiency.
