Nutritional Status of Children Attending the UAS School
Jump To References Section
Abstract
Malnutrition and undernutrition of protein-energy is widespread in developing countries. It is regarded as a spectrum of disease arising from an inadequate diet, especially in childhood. The results of community surveys have shown that over 50 per cent of toddlers in the poor socio-economic groups in India are anaemic, while 70-80 per cent of children suffer from various forms of growth retardation due to protein-energy malnutrition.Downloads
