Abstract
Increasing population, demographic pressure and the demand for more food have put a heavy burden on the world's working population. India has a population of 68 crores and with such a massive ever growing population it should be possible to make a headway in all fields. Sjolin points out that in developing countries the incidence of iron deficiency anaemia is high compared with that in the industrialised part of the world Iron deficiency anaemia with its reduction in haemoglobin levels is a major health problem as stated by Bengoa.Downloads
