Abstract

Cardiovascular disease is emerging as a major health problem in India. There are a number of risk factors associated with the susceptibility to this disease, which include an elevation of plasma lipids, high blood pressure, heavy cigarette smoking, obesity, sedentary habits, and genetic factors.
