Jump To References Section
Abstract
Assam is predominantly an agriculture oriented state in India. The economic development of the state has been slow and economic progress has been limited, as the rural population mostly depend on traditional methods of cultivation. The existing poverty in the rural areas have acted as one of the hinderances in the growth of economy of the country as a whole. And therefore inspite of the implementation of various plans and programmes by the government, the rural population is hardly able to meet the basic needs.Downloads
