Effect of Past History of Milk Intake on Occurrence of Osteoporosis during Menopause
Jump To References Section
Abstract
Osteoporosis is the skeletal disorder characterized by compromised bone strength predisposing to increased risk of fractures. Around 65 million Indians suffer from the disease and about 23 lakhs are added to this figure each year. The risk of osteoporotic fracture is inversely related to current bone density, which depends on peak bone mass at maturity and subsequent rate of bone loss.Downloads
