Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is one of the most burdensome chronic diseases that is increasing in epidemic proportion throughout the world. Deaths attributed to diet related non-communicable diseases in India is projected to increase from 31.6 to 43.3 per cent of all deaths by 2020. According to the World Health Organization, the global prevalence of Type II diabetes will more than double from 135 million in 1995 to 300 million by 2025.Downloads
