Management and Bacteriological Quality of Household Water in the University Staff Quarters
Jump To References Section
Abstract
The water supplies from dug wells in different geological formations showed high values of total conforms, faecal conforms and non-indicator bacteria. The high counts were typical of the warmer months. Sandhu et al found significant levels of total conforms, Escherichia coli and faecal streptococci in potable water supply sources of rural communities. It was detected that almost all the water supplies were positive for total conforms and only 7.5 per cent of the water supplies were uncontaminated.Downloads
