Effect of Different Planes of Nutrition on Water Metabolism in Dry Zebu Cows
Jump To References Section
Abstract
Water available to an animal's tissue comes from drinking, feed, metabolic oxidation of organic nutrients, and the water liberated from polymerization reactions such as condensation of amino acids to peptides and preformed water associated-with the tissues which are catabolised during a period of negative energy balance. It has not been reported till now, specially in the tropical-subtropical region of India, as to how different planes of nutrition affect the water metabolism in cows. Taking these facts in view the present studies were planned to investigate-the effects of different planes of nutrition on water metabolism in nonlactating zebu cows.Downloads
