Abstract
There is adequate emperical evidence to show that the health and nutritional status of the children during the earlier years of development will determine to a stable extent, the productivity, physical stamina and endurance in adult life.In this context, nutrition intervention programmes have become a compelling necessity under the goal of social justice to the weaker sections. One of the most effective means of combating malnutrition is to provide a nutritious meal or a balanced food supplement prepared with inexpensive local foods to the target groups to ensure their proper nourishment.Downloads
