Abstract

Trace elements play an important vole thvougt enzymes and vitamin systems in maintaining good health of human beings. Deficiencies of trace elements lead to abnormalities of growth, anaemia, depression of immune system and susceptiblility to infections. Therefore, the World Health Organisation Technical Report "Trace Element in Human Nutrition" called upon the nutritional scientists to intensify their research into the nutritional status of populations with regard to the trace elements.
