Effect of Different Levels of Pulse Proteins on Liver and Blood Lipids
Jump To References Section
Abstract
The effects of different levels of dietary proteins and of protein quality on lipid metabolism have been investigated in experimental animals. Kokatnur et al reported that increased levels of dietary protein were associated with decreased serum cholesterol levels in the chicks. Seidal et al reported that the addition of either protein or sulphur containing amino-acids to low protein diet will decrease serum cholesterol in the hyper-cholestemic rat.Downloads
