Abstract
Scheduled castes who constitute about one seventh of India's population are most deprived, down trodden, illiterate, neglected and weakest section of society. In Bihar, the scheduled caste, constitute, 14.5 per cent of the state population. They are the most economically and socially backward groups which are neglected in their nutritional status. Malnutrition is a serious problem which might threaten the health of the majority of population in the world. The nutritional and health status of the poor section of the society is more alarming.Downloads
