Jump To References Section
Abstract
Antenatal is a term applied to conditions occurring before birth and is used with respect to both mother and child. The antenatal period is a preparatory one, physically in terms of foetal growth and maternal adaptations. The postnatal period is the six-week interval between the birth of the newborn and the return of the reproductive organs to their normal nonpregnant state. The period is sometimes referred to as puerperium or fourth trimester of pregnancy.Downloads
