Abstract

Karnataka produces about 60 per cent of the country's mulberry raw silk and it has made a credible progress in area of expansion (26%), cocoon production (52%) and silk production (110%). Involvement of farm women in sericulture ranges from 54 to 64 per cent in Karnataka.
