Abstract
Providing a properly balanced starter feed to kids from a very young age leads to a faster weight gain in kids and at the same time sparing a large proportion of goat milk for human consumption. Animal protein sources such as milk products and fish meal play an important role in balancing feed mixtures in regard to protein quality for young ruminants. Since milk products ore exorbitantly costly for use in animal feeding, fish meat or dried fish has been the ingredient of choice for this purpose.Downloads
