Abstract

The proper understanding of the different abnormal processes involved in protein calorie malnutrition is essential for effective nutritional therapy and prophylaxis. The pathophysiological factors of importance in protein calorie malnutrition have been very well reviewed by Whitehead and Alleyene in their paper.
